This class serves as an introduction to beekeeping to those individuals who are interested in becoming beekeepers, as well as a class for those people who are generally interested in these fascinating insects. Topics will include starting a beehive, the bee colony, collecting honey, the importance of bees in pollination, and more.

John Hedly will lead this class and serves as director of the Worcester County Beekeepers Association, an advocacy group of more than 1,000 members.

Introduction to Beekeeping is generously funded by the Great Worcester Cultural Foundation's Rosemary Davis Memorial Grant.
